Paypal, UPS, and Fedex, how much does TB Classifieds make them?

I have now spent over $2,100 in shipping and $750 in paypal fees this year. I don;t do as much in the classifieds as others...I wonder how much they make off of this site and it there is anyway to get a group discount or to make talkbass some money on it...

Any ideas?

All transactions on the TB classifieds are personal transactions. "They" don't actually make money from "this site".


You have to be a supporting member to sell in the classifieds. TB, although not directly is making money from it.


You have to be somebody like Amazon or L.L. Bean to get a discount from UPS or FedEx.

I run a small business and I get discounted shipping from UPS and FedEx, but part of that is done by linking a credit card to my account.

I can't see you being successful in getting either company to provide a discount (however worthy!) without setting up an account and 'guaranteeing' things with a credit card. For are great as the folks on TB are I know it wouldn't be my credit card!
