Pearl Export Select drum kit

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone here a drummer or knowlegable with drum kits.

I have a Pearl Export Select drum kit bought around the year 2000. In all, this 6 piece drum kit, with Zildgien ZBT Plus ride, hi-hat and crash has about 4-6 months of use on it.

I entertained the idea that I would like play drums, so I got a good drum set. Probably cost me a total of $1200.00 at the time through Long Island Drum Center, but I never really played it enough to matter.

I am looking to sell this, but have no idea about how much it is worth. I have seen some Pearl Exports that are selling for 700-800. This is an Export Select, one higher on the expence scale. I think the only differenct may be a better, cooler paint job, but I cannot be for sure.

Does anyone know about this drum kit and what it should sell for. I can say it is probably in better condition that just about any pearl export select drumkit made in the year 2000. I just never really used it and never moved it or anything. All the original heads are still on it, which is the worst thing about it, but it still looks mint.

Thanks for any help. Had thought I could sell this to but a 4 string bass in the future, so this is bass related I suppose.

Good luck... I've found kits lose a bit of value. I had a Tama Rockstar Custom from 2003... barely used... had to offload it for a hair under $600 with all hardware, ZBT ride, hi-hat and crash, two splashes, and a China, and an extra piccolo snare.

Then again, it depends who's in the market.

Pearl typically has a higher resale value than Tama. I would figure in the 700-800 range.

find out what you can off eBay and stuff, see what these type of kits are closing at...I'd say about 550-6 max if you really wanna move them.

700-800 is actually probably the most you could get out of that.
ZBT aren't great cymbals to begin with, and drums drop alot of resale value after you buy them. After all, you've been hitting it with sticks.
