My wife knows about a zillion dog and bird breeders. Young forumites, unless you want a ZOO, don't marry a woman with ties to breeders

She went after (playfully) my in-law's Doberman, Boxer, and Rottweiler Mix at Thanksgiving. She and the Boxer had the Doberman pinned, it was pretty funny seeing them. During Christmas she went after my parent's Great Danes. She actually had the female backed the one into a corner of the house until the male came over and swatted her away. After that she had enough "play time" with the dogs.
BTW...that's a good looking puppy!

What they lack in size, they make up for in cajones Our older one spends a lot of time around hog dogs, pits and Am bulldogs. Although smaller than a pitbull, they have really strong jaws. Our older one can hang and wrestle with a rope swing just like the hog dogs. |

I am looking at getting a smaller dog and want something that is loyal, so a Boston is looking good right now.

lowsound | They make great pets. Low maintenance, low food bill, quiet but good "alarm" dogs. They travel well and get along with others You can usually find, non show quality ones for a very reasonable price, that's what both of ours are. |

There is a breeder about 3 hours from here, but I don't know if I want to make that drive. I wont be buying for a few months as I have some traveling and what not to do before I get a dog. Are they good dogs for a first time dog owner?

lowsound | All you need to do is feed them good food, and provide a constant source of water. A fenced in yard is a plus as they like to run and exercise. If they have a yard and a doggy door, house breaking will be very simple. Our little one has it down already...........pretty well He forgets where the door is | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
