Kinda wierd to put this on talkbass, but I need help. I have kinda poofy hair and I'm just wondering if there is a way to make it flatter without taking a hair straightener to it. What can a barber do to depoof it?
I'm sure some of you guys know what I'm talking about. Kinda wish I had a cosmetologist to help me out with this haha. |

I have really thick, straight, coarse hair that gets pretty poofy if I let it grow longer that I should. I try to keep it cut regularly, wash it in the morning, use a heavy conditioner, and sometimes, as it's drying, I'll wear a baseball cap for about 5-10 minutes. That usually keeps it flat with out giving me hat hair. If I leave it on for any longer than that, though, I'll get hat hair.

It's a chemical compound that they apply to your hair, and hey use a flat-iron to seal it in. Stick straight for 6 weeks with proper maintenance. I had it one awhile back, but didn'gt like how straight it was, or the fact that I couldn't wash it for 3 days after the treatment, and I learned to love my poof. However, if you want it stick straight, I recommend it.
