i think possibly mine would be and double lamb and mint burger with bacon strips and bbq sauce on a freshly baked crusty roll, maybe with some sesame seeds on top. |

Edit: I forgot the drink! Sprite or 7Up sounds good. Usually some kind of potato on the side and possibly a salad or if in season, corn on the cob barbecued.

NYC hard roll, toasted on the same wood fire
sharp cheddar cheese
sliced onion
tomato slice (a nice red tomato, not a green or hard white one like at Burger King)
lettuce
ketchup
black pepper
Pickles on the side.
No Mayo, No mustard, bacon not needed if the beef is good
I hate places that serve a burger with mustard and mayo applied without being ordered |

While those tiny burg's you get from In and Out, Fat Burger, and Carney's et al are all good, there's nothin like a tasty 3/4 lb. done medium, and are pure heaven. You gotta make sure you've got a bunch of Heinz 57 to dip it in, as well. Hunts doesn't cut it. Period.

You can get them from the Scotch Corner Sandwich Shop in Newcastle's Grainger Market. They're the 1/2lb Steak Burgers they sell. Grill-cooked and then fry finished, stuck in a fresh bun with lightly fried onions and mushrooms and your choice of sauce. Try a sweeter sauce like ketchup, to balance the sharpness of the onions (because they're not overcooked they are still pungent).
Grab a can of Lucozade from the shop across the aisle, walk to Eldon Square shopping center, park your backside and eat. |

If I'm making one at home, I like it medium to medium-well with blue cheese, bacon, onions, lettuce, and a dab of mayo and spicy mustard.

Either Aberdeen Angus or Venison.
Lightly toasted bun.
Melted cheese slices on both halves of the bun.
Little bit of lettuce in there.
Perfect
Wash it down with some chilled Irn Bru or Sprite.

Red Robin - Royal Red Robin Burger (it's the one with the egg on it, and it is fantastic!!!)
Chili's does a decent burger.
Fudruckers burgers are pretty good.
I agree about the house burger, though.
I start with the antibiotic/steroid free beef that we buy and have processed from a local farmer. I put a sprinkle of the KC Masterpiece BBQ dry seasoning on it, and grill it over smokin' hot coals.
On the back end, I will sometimes put some Bacon. Also, a couple of pickle slices and some mayo with some black pepper cracked in it. I don't think a burger that is done correctly ever needs ketchup.
I get the rolls from a local bakery and they are very soft and tasty.
I think an ice-cold Coke is about the best drink with a burger. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
