+1 to Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

Some others worth checking out are:

Any of the Joe Don Bakers (Mitchell, Final Justice)

I am an avid Mike fan..

Don't get me wrong, Joel had his moments and the show was his brainchild, but I didn't find his delivery anywhere as good as Mikes.

Mike was not that good to begin with, but he grew into his role and his delivery towards the end of the show was outstanding.
