Pizza Hut becomes Pasta Hut

Sign in to disble this ad
Well, it looks like good old Pizza Hut is having a rebrand and changing to Pasta Hut. I'll tell you one thing, and that is that, with KFC, McDonalds, Burger King and so many other great fast food outlets in Newcastle city center and the Metro Center, I certainly won't be eating a load of crappy pasta when I could have some decent fast food. Obviously, this was an idea they came up with late on a friday afternoon-everyone loves pizza, but given the choice, who would eat pasta? Bland peasant food!

I don't go to Pizza Hut a great deal but I do/did love their pizza. Oh well, looks like I'm off to KFC!

If you think the pizza is bad you ought to try the pasta!

Who needs Pizza Hut anyway? Got 'em round here as well. Not to mention McDonald's, Burger King, KFC and - the newest innovation in my German hometown - Subway. However, I just don't go there. You don't get very much for the money you pay, besides the stuff you get is not even that tasty I feel. Well, but BurgerKing isn't bad at all. From time to time, I go there for some of their 99ers.
I prefer getting a grilled (beef) sausage served in a bun or with some fries at a snack bar or a doner kebap, which still has the best price performance ratio, besides, they taste just fine.
I'm afraid I won't try the new fast food pasta...

Hmmmm, I dont know about overseas but here in CA the pasta isn't really that bad for what it is (it is fast food after all).

The only real selling point is delivery, if I was going out there are many better options.

Nothing wrong with pasta, but a good pasta is probably at least as unhealthy as a good pasta so I don't see how the name "Pasta Hut" would give the impression to be a healthier choice than Pizza Hut.

Btw, I often prefer pasta over pizza if there is a good pasta on the menu.

I haven't been to a Pizza Hut in ages so I can't really comment on their food...

Come on! In the commercial, they show a bunch of trendy hipsters at Toscani fooled by their wonderful pastas....

What I wanna know is which one ordered the bacon mac 'n' cheese? I mean that has gourmet written all over it.

Apparently putting toppings on frozen pizza crusts was proving too difficult for their workforce, so now they resort to caffeteria style aluminum reheat entrees. Sad. But HEY! Dollar pitchers of Coke! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Bah! The real pizza is in the Northeast.

I think Pizza Hut is changing because there's more profit in pasta than pizza. It's a trend in the fast food pizza biz.

And if good pasta is peasant food, you can call me Oliver Twist

Kebab is always the best for bang to buck...for less than £4 you can usually get something too big to finish!

If the Pizza base is any thicker than about 1/4 inch, its probably not real pizza. Its just something someone has made that resembles Pizza. Deep pan pizza is for suckers.

Yes, I think we understand each other. I usually pay around 3,50 €uro for a tasty kebap and after that, I'm full and satisfied. No fast food restaurant chain can keep up with that.

A standard pizza bottom is about 1-2 mm thick, IMO. 6,3 mm sounds like a pan pizza to me.

Why all the pasta bashing here? A lot of pasta is absolutely great, if you're not considering the cheapest fast-food stuff you might find.

Eh...I don't care for Pizza Hut's pizza...but I've had their new pasta (the alfredo one) twice and it's been awesome. Feeds me and two friends...good pasta if you don't wanna cook or go to a sit-down restaurant.

We have very different definitions of "great".

You live in London and you're trying to define good pizza? That's like someone in Manhattan trying to tell me what the best BBQ is.

The best pizza is in NYC, not Chicago.

Pizza Hut isn't pizza.
