Plumbing help?!?!

So I have found TBOT to be a wealth of info from relationships to legal advice so I figured why not plumbing.

OK so a little background. I'm about to move in to a really old duplex that is right next door to where my band practices. This place is kind of a hole but thats cool because I'm 23 and I'm down with living on the cheap aka I'm kinda poor.

Here is my issue. This place only has one bath room and it only has a bathtub. There is no shower head. I need a cheap way to rig up a shower head. The cheaper and more kudgel-esk the better.

GO GO GADGET TALK BASS!

First, you stand up the tub on its bottom end. Poke holes in a ziplock bag and rubber band it to the bath faucet. Buy a kiddie pool from the local drugstore and put it on the floor to stand in. Bamn! Got yourself a shower.

This is awsome but not practical... my bath room is too small for a kiddy pool

I just did a "shower head Kudgel" image search on google and got some interesting results with safe search on I might add but I only found one picture of a shower head and it was not even a kudgel...

Is there sufficient water pressure to run some tubing up, bolt it to the wall, and install a head? Used to live in a place with one of those really old bath tubs with a similar setup. It worked. Also, my toilet flooded.

Not sure yet. I move in next month and I have not yet called to get the water on but putting some sort of tube and attach it to the wall seems like the thing to do.

Did the toilet flood because you did that to your shower?

Did somebody call for a really hairy plumber?

I'm here to lay some pipe . . .

Have a look at your local hardware shop, or even online. If you can't spring for a shower system you can get shower attachments that hook onto the tap(s) for the bath, like:

Yeah. I've seen it work. Cheap and effective. Toilet has nothing to do with the topic. Different house. It just happens to have flooded. I thought as long as you were summoning TBOT plumbing Gods I'd throw that out there. Already turned it off though; no imminent danger. Thank you for your prayers. Best of luck OP.

This is what I'm looking for but I need one that goes on to just one spout.

That should be easy to find. If not, there shouldn't be any real harm in using just that one side, assuming you plug the open end.

You could possibly find a way to mount a garden hose to the faucet, run it up the wall, and attach a shower head, as well.

Edit: this would be the easiest comprehensive way, but it's probably more than you're looking to spend.

If you go a different route, don't forget that you're going to need some sort of curtain setup too so water doesn't end up all over the floor.

Have a scout online for them, as said, you can just hook them over the tap(s), you'll get hoses which fit a single spout (or at worst, cork the other end, as per pocketgroove's suggestion).
