My kids played Diamond and Pearl until they lost both games somewhere in the house. Those tiny DS games are pretty damned easy to misplace, grrrr.

I don't. My daughter does.
Her favorites are Pilkachu, Chimchar, Piplup, and Monafee (sp?)
Only a Dad would know this - or want to.

I've played every generation, and between them all have nearly every creature. I used to play a lot.

Yeah, my Daughter played those for a while too.

Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Mew, Charmander... she used to bring those up often.

Pokemon was the bomb way back then. But I matured and now play Final Fantasy and Morrowind. All good games though.

I´ve never owned a Pokemon game, but back in 2000 .. I had an old Game boy and a friend lent me his copy of Blue, it was kinda fun. But Id rather play RPGS like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest.

I have a GBC and Pokemon Blue. I only play it on LONG car rides when I run out of things to do. It's actually a pretty boring game IMO. There is a lot of level grinding.

Blue and red wre great... but they started adding in loads of really bad new pokemon. Most of the original 151 were fairly reaistic and loosely based on real animals. When I got Gold I was like "eww, what on earth is that?" they all looked so rubbish and had naff names.
This is when I stopped, and something about me being an adult too. Ive got my shiny pokemon cards still from when I was at school. (Girlfriend keeps on reminding me how sad it is.. but I shoud point out I dont play iwth the cards, mearly still have them!)

Unless you can find some other games on the DS worth playing.

And guess what? You can't. At least, I can't. Nor do I want to spend $30 for the ones worth my time. I've been kicking myself ever since for buying a DS.

And I enjoy Pokemon a little bit. The original games were great.
