. . . Police Doughnuts is meant to recall a time when officers really did hang out at doughnut shops, whereas today's police "are all into this fitness crap."

This has got to be satire. Is this The Onion?????

One of the radio stations in Calgary used to have a morning contest called "Cop or No-Cop". A listener would guess one or the other. Then the host would call a random donut shop in town and ask "Cop or no-cop". If the answer matched, the listener would win something.

Cops eat donuts. Take a good look at have of them. It's no mystery.

A local radio station used to have a call-in game called "Cop or No Cop." Callers would have to guess if there were any cops in the local Krispy Kreme Doughnut Shop.

You do realize they're not just for cops, anymore?

That's right: civilians are now free to enjoy all that sugary, starchy goodness without having to break up bar fights, dole out speeding tickets and get evil-eyed all day long.

Yaaaay!!

Yeah, but civilians have to pay for them.

At least in my old neighborhood, the cops usually got a freebie.

Sometimes, the cops would also get free beers at the bar too.

That's what happens when more than 1/2 the bars in your neighborhood are owned by retired cops.
