Now before the mods have a cow, I want to say that it is not my intention to discuss either party or candidate here. We all have our own opinions, and that's cool.
What I am distressed by is the fact that there seems to be so much venom and hatred directed @ each side's opponent. The lies, negative ads, blatant racism, and the "if you're not for us, you're not a true American" rhetoric being spewed by politicians and their supporters is very disturbing to me. I had hoped that Americans, in general, were smart enough to see through the BS and make up their own minds. I gotta tell you, I'm seeing shades of Nazi germany in some of this campaign rhetoric. I had thought we moved past some of this stuff, as a nation, a long time ago. I've been researching both sides and I've come to a sorry conclusion. We're a bunch of self interested, racist, redneck, dumb arses. When did country go so far down the crapper ?     Remember, I'm referring to the hate present this go 'round, not the merits of any party, so I hope the mods are cool with this subject matter.

I think that is my main point of anxiety over the whole thing. Aren't we all supposed to be a "team", of sorts ? I guess I was nieve. I didn't think we were that hateful, as a nation.

It's this - people are getting more riled up now than I've ever seen before, what the heck happens AFTER the election? There is a lot of anger and resentment on either side and SOMEONE'S gotta lose, where is that anger and resentment then going to be directed?
