You operate with them on different levels. If you expect your friends to always be loyal and servile then yeah you're better off with a dog.

You can always trust a dog to be a dog, domesticated or feral you always know where you stand.

People OTOH will mislead, lie and sometimes straight up manipulate you to get what they want.

If could only choose between dogs and people for companionship, I would choose dogs.

...except for sex. Then I'd choose people.

Maybe.

It depends on the dog, and the person in question.

I hopped into this poll thread to see if there were some carrots lying around to nibble on, but alas, there are none. This thread is invalid.

My dog is happy with 2 meals of dry food a day, greets me enthusiastically every time i come into the room, fetches things I throw, is an excellent gun dog, and has never judged me the countless times I've stumbled home drunk.

That's more than I can say for most people.

Not gonna lie, it kinda does lol

The only problem with dogs is they have a tendency to lick themselves in public... at least with people you don`t have that problem...

...usually.

*edit* there`s not suppose to be a '?' in my title....

They're too different things really, dogs and people. You can't really compare one to the other. To do so, imo, is moronic.

Typical "person" response. A dog, presented with this topic, would just lick your hand.

This is a no carrots zone. The TB carrots have been beaten to death. And then some more. No carrots to see here. Move on.

Exactly.

And I type this as my bud Sammy lays with his snout and paw on my feet - pretty much, hugging me.

While I think all of us can appreciate a good bitch, I don't think anything will replace a good bitch.
