Seriously. Grabbed a Sesame Street DVD for the kids(really)at the library & instantly recalled how cool Kermit was. I was wondering what we all thought regarding his performances in the various phases of his career. Input on favorite episodes, etc. are of course invited.

Can't really say which Kermit performance was my favorite, since I love all of them. Definitely the most moving Muppet episode was the one right after Jim Henson passed away. Still makes me a bit teary-eyed watching it. I think it's up on youtube somewhere.

I dunno. There was that porn-star-looking muppet with the long blond hair. She's towards the bottom right.

My favorite was the first Muppet Movie. I loved all the old Sesame Street stuff, great for a kid and great for nostalgia- but the Muppet Movie is so good I can still watch it and enjoy it all, it stands the test of time on its own. I guess the same holds for the Muppet Show episodes, but they were less cohesive and "complete".

The blonde one eh? Really she's the Paris Hilton of muppet-dom. Even Animal went raw-dog with her.

Sure it never showed Kermit and Ms.Piggy in the act, it's a family show! It's just a given

BTW, I voted Sesame Street- I thought the impact was greatest then as it had not really been done like that before. Conversely, one of my favorite specific performances was in Muppet Treasure Island- gotta love Tim Curry.
Wasn't Animal modelle after Keith Moon? Maybe Mick Fleetwood...

Quite alright; thank you for participating. BTW, saw a Big Bird rendition of the tune done in tribute to Jim Henson- I couldn't finish it.
