Seriously. Grabbed a Sesame Street DVD for the kids(really)at the library & instantly recalled how cool Kermit was. I was wondering what we all thought regarding his performances in the various phases of his career. Input on favorite episodes, etc. are of course invited.

Definitely the most moving Muppet episode was the one right after Jim Henson passed away. Still makes me a bit teary-eyed watching it. I think it's up on youtube somewhere.

I loved all the old Sesame Street stuff, great for a kid and great for nostalgia- but the Muppet Movie is so good I can still watch it and enjoy it all, it stands the test of time on its own. I guess the same holds for the Muppet Show episodes, but they were less cohesive and "complete". |

Sure it never showed Kermit and Ms.Piggy in the act, it's a family show! It's just a given |

Conversely, one of my favorite specific performances was in Muppet Treasure Island- gotta love Tim Curry.
Wasn't Animal modelle after Keith Moon? Maybe Mick Fleetwood...
