Popular bands you can't stand!

Just curious as to what popular bands playing right now that you cant stand. Even bands in the past that you just cant relate to. I am trying not to use the word "hate" but you get my point.

Blink-182 needs to just... stop. I don't mind Mark Hoppus (not because he's the bassist) but Tom DeLounge has the most annoying lyrics and voice I've ever heard. And Travis Barker is overrated.

Pretty much any of them.

I haven't liked something I heard on Top40 radio or VH1/MTV, or InsertNameOfFavoritePopPodcastHere since, oh, probably some time in the early 1990s.

And that was stretching it.

Dave Matthews Band never did it for me. I'd prefer nails on a chalkboard to that dude's voice.
Really disappointed with Maroon 5's latest album too.

I agree, Blink needs to stop. I admit I like their older most popular shat but its time for them to hang up their hats!

I couldn't really tell you, I don't listen to the radio much, and when I do it's independent stations not mainstream rawk/top 40. That said, even in 'indie' world a lot of it is starting to sound the same to me.

Well..... now that I think about it The Decemberists make my teeth grind. Death Cab for Cutie make me wish I still lived in the country and could chop wood whenever I felt like killing something. Okay, yes, I really can't stand Death Cab for Cutie. They practically give me shingles.

This. I thought Gnarls Barkley was cool for about ten minutes, but then lost interest.

Saw a video of Coldplay in (Japan I think?) where Chris Martin is skipping around the stage twirling a parasol while multicolor paper butterflies are being dumped from the ceiling. Killed the whole thing for me.

I'm not kidding.....

Why did you post a link to your website? Trying to generate some traffic?

Wrong forum, music-related stuff goes in Miscellaneous.

Or we could just dump this in the special "negative topics that get recycled every week" forum.

You know what band I can’t stand…That damn Portobello Road band because they add a link on their threads! Who does that! What an extreme crime! They really should read the “Rules”! A Supporting Member should say something!

Where is the "negative topics that get recycled every week" forum?

Dear God thank you. I was so afraid I was alone in this line of thinking.

It's spelled Morrissey actually.

And the funny thing is, I'm a massive fan of The Smiths, but can't stand the majority of Morrissey's solo stuff.

Q: What is a "moyad"?... as in, "Don't waste your time on me, you're already a voice insoid moyad!"?

Seriously though, as opposed to 'hating', there really was a band that I couldn't stand: Soundgarden.

It's not that the music or songs were bad, and there's no doubt that Cornell was one awesome singer back in the day... it's that there's a frequency that's cranked up in the mix that drills right through my skull when I'm trying to listen to them. I gave up and have to avoid them at all costs.

Pretty much all of them but Nickleback has to be at the top, next to lady gaga in the pop star category and lil' Wayne in the enforcing black stereotypes category.

Honorable mention for Disney in general.
