That being said, I didn't regret a dime of that. It's a fun and thought-provoking game written with a wry sense of humor. Also, the song at the end is just pure win. If you don't know anything about the game, it's best to go in completely spoiler-free.

Also, they are doing a free trial of the indie-game Altitude, which is fun and reminds me of the old days of Subspace. Certainly worth a try at least.
