Possible gunshots fired at my school

So, there was a report of a gunshot fired in one of the buildings at my school. It appears at the moment nothing actually happened (no casings, no injured people, no bullet holes, no gun) , but even still, i was given no notification of this. I am even registered for the school's SMS emergency notification system FOR situations like this. Where was my text? W T F? I didnt know anything was potentially happening until i got out of class and walked home and saw a ton of commotion.

Why would they send out an SMS based on some shaky suspicion? They said that there is NO EVIDENCE that any shots were fired.

I duno, there were tons of cops around, you would think if there was even speculation of gunfire they would alert students. But whatever, nothing happened, so its all good. Now, a cop accidentally discharged his gun while searching for the "gunner". FAIL!

Yeah. They said on the news that one of the kiddie cops accidentally discharged his weapon into the ground.

Gun shot? I missed a final exam because of the stupid sms system of the school and I didn't get a second chance,go open a beer and light a smoke.

I had a bomb threat on Thursday. The school said we were goign to have extreme protection.

We had 2 cops, and a bomb dog that had a bladder problem, for a school of 1500 kids.

I felt safe......

And they said they took the threat seriously.

Worst part is that our school is under total remodeling, so just about every wall is open, and no cameras work, so anyone can walk in and out without anyone knowing.

Yep. It was a cop. Good thing they're the only ones who are professional enough to carry firearms in Chicago.
