Is it possible to have made it though the first part of your life not being emo but suddenly you have an emo onset in your old age ?

We were too stupid to know what that was though. EPA and the mines shutting down cleaned everything up before we could find emo. Guess we were terminally un-kewl.

there are plenty of bands i consider to be 'emo' and plenty of my friends in their early to mid thirties are turning on to them. and you better believe me and my homemade denim motorhead jacket make fun of them for it. but these friends of mine aren't all elitist like the 'emo' kids who are super into those same bands... i think it's more just a problem of getting old and not giving a **** about what people think and just start listening to more music...
but those bands still suck, as far as i'm concerned.

Emo has replaced fast, red cars as the expression of choice for the mid-life crisis.
