P.S. There's actually a good reason behind not letting people pack water bottles; they make for a good diversion when sending stuff through the x ray machines. The operators see something weird on the screen and if they open the bag and see a water bottle on top, they assume that's what it was while there could well be a bomb or weapon under a layer of clothes.
