This pics looks so much like situations I have been in as a teacher. There are times when I just have to pic a spot on the wall and look, instead of at the student!

What is closer to what I am talking about is when somebody comes to the office with her breasts about to fall out, and I have to spend the whole time making sure my eyes stay neck up when talking.

| | That's the way uh huh uh huh I like it.. | | Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Robbinsville, NJ | | | I sometimes drop my son off at high school. I'm no prude, actually I consider myself pretty open-minded and such but, (please no one take this the wrong way), I'm so glad that I do not have daughters these days. I really cannot believe what some parents will allow their daughters to wear to school. There seems to be a distinct lack of modesty or grace, or whatever the hell ya wanna call it... Don't get me wrong, if I was back in high school, I'd be loving it, but if I had a teenage daughter, she'd really be hating me right about now for sending her to school dressed like a lady as opposed to a streetwalker..
/rant. carry on.
College - well that's a different story altogether.

When I think about being a teacher or a professor in these days of false accusations, entitlement, ego etc...I really don't know if I could handle it. It must get tough sometimes.

Stuff does happen, but from what I see, trouble pops up when a prof is arrogant, or is an obvious dog.
As for me, I have never been enough of a player to get caught up in risking my modest career over some action.

My wife admits doing that as well when she was in school.(which is again why I'm glad that I don't have daughters!!)

I've noticed that the girls that dress that way weren't generally the type that would get accepted into university/college. Quote:

I've known some that were prone to do that. It's generally a good idea to have a school that enforces uniforms, and actually enforces them, unlike the high school that I went to. |

I've been falsely accused of stuff in the past. Language toward a student, nothing of a sexual nature. It's pretty scary. I'm never alone with a student, and if I find myself in a room with a student by myself I make sure the door is open. Additionally, I have a policy of never touching my students. No hugs, high fives, or anything else. Occasionally I'll knuckle bump a student, but that's as far as it goes. Kids think I'm a germ-a-phobe because of it, but really it's because I go through extreme lengths to avoid contact with them to protect myself. |
