I've done it a few times. I'm pretty accustomed to typing with the keyboard now, I make a lot fewer mistakes than I used to.

I do often, but I usually don't have my laptop far enough away to warrant it.

However, if I don't have a wireless connection, I'll use the iPhone.

As someone who carries both (Blackberry for work, iPhone for me), I will go ahead and disagree. Each has merits greater than the other, but on the whole, I prefer the iPhone MUCH MUCH more than the Blackberry.

+1 It is fun being able to post with my iPhone! I upgaded from the original to the 3G because I use the Internet frequently on my phone so I gave my old iPhone to another TBer who is now able to have fun!

I have the Blackberry 8320. I'd like to try the iPhone sometime given you can play X-Plane 9 on it, but the Blackberry seems a little more adept at syncing with Outlook.

BTW, anyone know if you can get Japblite (checkbook balancer) on an iPhone? That's one of the reasons I like my Blackberry right now.

I got my iPhone the day before Thanksgiving......I'm lovin' it!

I'll surf on TalkBass a bit, but usually save the actual posting for when the laptop is handy. Works just great no matter what.

i love all the music apps you can get for the iphone... some y'all should get:

iTalk - Griffin's sound recorder.
Midomi - sing, say, or let it listen to a song and it will find it for you... Youtube, iTunes, etc.
iQuantizer - Shows a visualization of the current sound environment.
FreeDrumPad - sweet beats.
Rain Stick - I just couldn't pass this one up...
FreePiano2 - 2 octave piano!
RjDj Single - one environment takes your current sound environment and loops it and filters it. Amazing. You can also record 'sessions'. I will be using this in some compositions/performances for sure!
SynthPond Lite - SO COOL. Think Reactable, only a bit simpler and on an iPhone. Awesome. I'm sure the full paid version is more like a Reactable.
Sniff Jazzbox - Like RjDj Simple, only based on currently active WiFi networks. REALLY cool. Takes the names and converts the letters into notes, and cycles them on 3 synth tracks, with tempo and stuff based on the network properties.
Guitar Chords - every chord imaginable! Woo!

AND THEY'RE ALL FREE APPS!!!

I also Jailbroke it, so I have a sweet metronome (with tap tempo!), and some other things
