Power outages blow..

specifically the one that fried my widescreen yesterday!!!

The power went out around 10:00 am yesterday, due to high winds here in SoCal. I've had this TV for a couple years, and it's survived at least one other outage that i know of for sure. SO, the dvd player hooked up to the same power strip as the TV works fine. The lamp in the same power strip works fine. The TV? not so much. i know, my bad for not unplugging the strip to prevent a surge. In my defense (i'm fishin here), It was a protected strip, and i can't figure out why the other stuff works and the darn TV won't.. it's not like i really wanted to watch the lakers play tonight or anything...

Maybe the TV couldn't stand to watch another Lakers game?

My TV would die if it showed either of those teams

I must admit that I'm not a huge basketball fan, I just wanted to make a stab at someones team

Dude, because of the storms, we have had rolling blackouts for a month. It is a major pain in the arse to have so many projects for school going on and deadlines blowing by when you don't even know if you'll have power long enough to get anything done.
