Prayers for the Queen of Soul

Aretha Franklin has pancreatic cancer. No matter how you spin it, pancreatic cancer is a death sentence - I had an aunt that died of this years ago.

Let's offer our sincere prayers for someone who influenced music so profoundly.

She deserves the prayers and best wishes of everyone who has heard her music. She has certainly blessed the world with her voice for nearly fifty years!

Yeah. I saw this. Hope she pulls through. I was concerned when I first saw her a few years ago and noticed her weight gain. That can't be good for her either. Cancer sucks. Totally kicks a person when their down. Sending her a lot of love and

If anyone has the guts and strength to beat it, it would be Aretha.
Adding my prayers to the stack.

That is one of the best scenes in a great movie. Notice how the words don't sync up? She can't lip sync. She sings every song slightly different (but always in time and with soul!) every time.

One of the best singing voices ever!

May God Bless all of those suffering such chronic and potentially fatal diseases.

Hopefully more cures keep showing up.

I pray for comfort, for peace, for family and friends.......

That type of cancer is as bad as it gets.... I just went through this with my Grandmother. I will be forever grateful that she didn't suffer and went quietly.

I pray the same for this fine lady......
