In what way knowing the identity of a poster here affects the way you process what they contribute?

it's not hard, and i have it on good authority that almost all of you in this thread have done it before, so you certainly know the drill.
this may come as a shock, but attempting to chase off a member who you disapprove of is considered trolling. if they are not legit, that's our (mod/admins) job to deal with, and if they are but just for some reason rub you the wrong way :
1. that's what we have the ignore function for
2. some self-examination might be in order to reveal why the limited amount of personality a person can present via a forum is sufficient to generate such a negative response.
3. it's t3h int3rw3bz, and is to be expected.
