Premature Tree Lighting

I understand that the christmas-time holiday shopping is big for retailers and the like, however... a tree lighting ceremony.. BEFORE Thanksgiving?? A week before??

Stores start getting ready for Christmas in September these days. Id call the airing of "A Christmas Story" on the day after Halloween late.

I get weirded out shopping for Halloween costumes in the aisle next to the Christmas X-mas decorations.

Dear Santa, you are supposed to show up at The Thanksgiving Day Parade to let everybody know things are cool and you will be back in a month. It's too weird seeing you this freakin' early. I love Christmas but after a long while, even the most pleasureable things can make you sore.

Out Christmas tree is up already.
