Did you, or are you planning on buying anything today, just because it's President's Day?
I did.
I'm going to take a few photos of it now; I'll post them later.
So, did you buy anything music-related or not?
Come on, people; buy something, and keep the economy strong!
Mike
P.S. It's another Ibanez!

You silly, silly people.
I bought an Ibanez acoustic guitar - an AES10EAM.
I had been wanting a decent acoustic for a while, but didn't want to spend a ton of money. I went to both the Queens and the Manhattan Sam Ash stores, but ended up buying it at the Guitar Center on 14th street in Manhattan. There were some nice Seagulls, Taylors, Breedloves and Ovations, but they were all much more than I wanted to spend.
$385 out the door including tax and gig bag.
Here it is. Yes, it's the same boring red wall against which I photograph most of my gear.
I haven't plugged it in yet, but acoustically it sounds pretty good. Not bad looking either.
Now I have to get a pretty face to pose with it.
You're supposed to buy either a car or a guitar on President's day, right?
Mike

And, in the spirit of our National Holiday, I managed to score a Peavey T-40 for $250(pre-shipping) off the internet.
I also visited In-N-Out Burger, but their food wasn't on sale

Every time one of us happens to eat there, we then feel compelled to eat there several more times...I also don't usually eat beef except at In-N-Out. I think they would have to be somewhere in my top 10 list of reasons I'm glad I moved to CA
Excuse me while I go and have a heart attack,

As for the camera, all I can say is: Tripod!
It slows you down, so you're forced to compose a better picture, and it frees you from worrying about camera shake at slow shutter speeds.
I really am surprised that more people didn't buy stuff on President's Day.
And what is all this talk about food; this In and Out place?
Isn't this a short description of what happens with all food?

Mike | I gotta agree with you... I don't have a DSLR, but tripods (and putting it on 10 second delay) just makes it stand still which is necessary.
In-N-Out is a burger joint in California. Great food. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
