Proper Pose for Mugshots?

Sign in to disble this ad
So, I've been wondering, what is the proper pose one should ideally have for taking mugshots?

There seems to be a few different schools of thought, and most seem to lean towards the sullen stare, while a few go for the menacing look.

Do they give you many options during booking?

I'm not expecting to get arrested in the near future, but would appreciate any prep work I could do now, since they usually shy away from lengthy internet research during the arrest process.

batshit insane look. Helps with any 'temporary insanity' defenses.

You're only saying that because of the four massive mammary glands pointing out from her stomach.

Does smug come across well on mug shots? I keep getting told that I seem smug. I'm just throwing things out there.

if i recall properly its not like youve got a lot of time to pose or whatever the hell youre looking for. ive never seen mine, but i was without shoes and a shirt and had been up for a while, so im sure i looked less than awesome. im pretty sure i wasnt smiling either.

its not all that pleasant of an experience, so most people arent giving the camera their best smile.

also, does anyone know if theres a way to find a mugshot? id be curious to check that out.

Try for a big smile, lots of teeth. That should hamper any photo line-up in the future, not that I have any experience.

I just got back from the DMV... my photo looks like the mugshot of a wacko made to wait almost two frigging hours to get his driver's license renewed.

The experience included the counter person making the mistake of yelling at me... I yell louder and make meaner looking faces.

Actually... I'm surprised I got out of there with my DL renewed.

Farking DMV... and govt employees wonder why they get such bad press.

You should live in Louisiana. We can get our DL's renewed by mail. No full day killed waiting on govt. employees. Plus, we have drive thru daquari shops.

If you're in southern Tennessee, you end up in a local rag called Just Busted. Each paper costs $1, but it has all arrests and charges for the preceding week.

They also really, really need an editor - their grammar and layouts are crap sammiches.
