Proper Stereo speaker placement

Sign in to disble this ad
So my roommate is moving out (ya right!) and i happen to be getting her big bedroom. The room measures approximately 18'x10.5'

Since this is significantly bigger than my current room, im thinking about moving my stereo from the living room to my bedroom as long as i can still have space for my bed and desk. Does anyone have any tips or links they would like to share on setting up my stereo for optimum sound and limiting reflection of waves etc. ? The system i have is just 2 stereo floor standing speakers, no subwoofer.

There is this thing called "Internets" which has probably 10,000 posts dealing with this topic. Speaker placement and acoustics are something you will need to research and interpret based on the room size and other factors. Enjoy.

Depends on the room, the speakers, the enclosure, the temperature, what the walls are made out of, where the other stuff in the room is...

With two speakers, I don't think you are in danger of ruining your audiophile experience no matter where you put the speakers. Well, unless you place them face down.
