Roadside stand on Kauai.Polish sausage, sweet hawaiian roll, garlic aoli, mango relish. Delicious.
A little shack in Tobago, amazing roti's (chicken, curry and chickpeas in a chickpea flour wrap)...unbelievable flavor.
I've eaten in many of the world's best restaurants and yet roadside food like these "Puka Dogs" and roti remain my faves.

They aren't as numerous as they used to be, but once I cross the 45th parallel, I keep my eyes open. There are few things on God's green earth that compare.

Those little roadside carts in Tahiti do some wonderful things.
Also, in Japan, there are similar carts that are open in the wee hours, all kinds of good stuff.
In the UP..... hard to beat a good pasty stand.
