Pulling triggers and effort-related musings

Sign in to disble this ad
So I see most (American) TBers prefer to type the phrase "pull the trigger" instead of the three-character word "buy", but they are loathe to the idea of typing out the full name of whatever it is they're actually talking about, like the PPB, the BSW, the BMS, and so on.

Put some logic in your laziness and type "buy" for ****'s sake.

I think I'm going to start writing "PTTO" instead of "buy" or "bought".

Ack! Foiled!

I suppose in logical terms it's still an improvement though.

Presumably some vulgar expression from the colonies. Keep that up and her majesty will withdraw your permission to use English and you'll be left typing BMCA.

it makes sense though, you have your eye on the target (item you want to buy) and all you need to do is pull the trigger (send money) to obtain item where you were aiming. I like it and I'm glad i pulled the trigger on reading this thread

Know what one of the best parts of American independence is? Not having to give one sloppy **** about the royal family. I think I'll go drink some beer from cans and then shoot the empty cans.

Thats pretty much true for the Brits these days too though.

I hope I'm right in thinking this is all in good fun.

Weirdly, I was living in NJ (exit 98) in the '90s when princess Diana died, and all day I had grieving new yorkers telling me how upset I must be about it.

I didn't have the heart to tell them I'd never actually met her. I'm from yorkshire, I'm not sure I even believe in the royal family to be honest.
