For Halloween, I want to be the Joker (from The Dark Knight). Anyone know what type of makeup I need in order to make some fake scars?

The kind of makeup that will make you slightly less like the other 200 million people, in the US alone, that will have the same costume as you.

use superglue to buildup the scar under layer.

Are you going to be the regular joker, or the joker wearing the nurses outfit?

Because the latter is a bit scarier and more original. I doubt very many will think of this idea.

I was thinking about nurse's outfit. And what exactly do I do with super glue?

Doesn't anyone remember when 300 came out? Think that but on a much much larger scale mainly because guys don't have to wear a pair of black spandex underwear to complete the costume.

One only has to look at people's facebook and myspace profiles to see an already alarming trend.

Put a drop where you want the scar. Spread it. Blow till it's dry. Rinse and repeat to build up the "swelling" to about 5-8mm (or half an inch I suppose), then gouge the middle of the glue out (gently) and pack the gouged area with whatever makeup/paints you're using the make the scar up so it looks like a genuine gash/opening.

Or, if you really want to seperate yourself from the other 200 million, grab a scalpel blade

Why don't you put a spin on it, and go as the disappearing pencil guy?

If you're going to dress up like the Joker, the trick is to do it when its NOT Halloween. Like when going to church or to your kids PTA meeting.
