There are Universities, and there are Community Colleges. In most cases, you can only get up to a 2 year degree at Community College. Usually, when someone mentions "going to college," they are talking about a University.

University generally denotes an institution of higher learning that grants both undergraduate and graduate degrees, whereas a college generally only confers undergraduate degrees (e.g., Bachelor's, Associate's, certificates). interchangeably. When we say we're "going to college,"
that could very likely mean that we are going to a university.
I think the technical difference is that a university consists
of multiple colleges. So, even when we go to a university,
we can be in a college.

In most states, yes -- as long as you have not been
convicted of a felony (a serious crime). Often, you don't
even need a license to own or carry a gun; you need a
license to carry a concealed weapon. Despite being legal,

firearms. It's provocative, an invitation to trouble and
tips off would-be criminals of your ability to defend yourself.
Most people who carry get a license and keep it concealed.
