Nothing about the grunge movement should be attached to punk IMO. The early 90's is such a dark time for good music.

The Who are always great. Go with that.

The Kids Are Alright is awesome, and I just got Amazing Journey... the newer WHO doc. The extras on that are pretty awesome. Did i mention I play in a Who tribute band and love them dearly? No? Ok, just did.

The Kids Are Alright and Stop Making Sense are both fantastic, and I'd highly recommend each of them to anyone. That said, they're very different. SMS is a straight-up concert film, and the best I've ever seen of its type.

I'm curious to see The Year Punk Broke. It always seemed odd to me that Sonic Youth got lumped in with grunge, though.
