Quickie tinnitus remedy

Sign in to disble this ad
Just now I was looking around over at the FDP, and in the Moe's Tavern section (their equivalent of our Off Topic section) there was a post about tinnitus, and someone posted a link to a tinnitus relief technique someone came up with. I tried it a couple of times, and while it didn't get rid of it, it did seem to quiet it down a bit. Try it and see what happens!

Hmmm worth a shot although I'm highly sceptical.

Well, after a day of trying it I've come to the conclusion that it gives only temporary relief, and just for a short time at that. Still, it's better than nothing, which is pretty much what we have nowadays.

Tinnitus is not a medical condition in itself, it is merely a symptom of many different conditions.

No one treatment will cure or even slightly affect all tinnitus.

I basically had the same results as Stratovani. Mine really only bothers me at night when it's really quiet and I'm trying to sleep. Even then it's hit or miss as I'm pretty good at ignoring it / not even hearing it. I definitely don't hear it at all during the day. I gave this a shot yesterday, and it seems that it's more of a way of concealing it than anything. If I do this, it "seems" to be gone for a short period of time, but if I really really concentrate, I can still hear it.
However, my case is pretty minor, and like I said, doesn't bother me except on rare occasion. I'll keep trying this over the next few days just to see, but at this point, I don't think it really does anything for me.
