I remember reading Andromeda Strain when I was in high school (I was a library rat). Thrilling, urbane stuff.
Then, of course, how can we forget the judicial use of T. Rex to unclog that flush in Jurassic Park of an unsightly lawyer...priceless!

RIP | I liked the book and though the movie didn't exactly follow the book(how many really do?) it was pretty good.
