RIP.

I'll always remember him in the pits at Limerock working on the cars and chatting with the fans. He always had time to talk with everyone. A cool guy he was

Even though he was 83, he kept active and working even up until recently (2007) so its kind of shocking to hear he's gone.
I hope TCM shows some of his movies this weekend.

I just saw this. We kind of knew it was coming, but it's still a terrible loss, nonetheless.

When I saw the headline this morning it hit like an old friend was gone. It is such a rare thing that someone can connect with you that deeply and yet you've never even met. What a big man, bigger than fame.

I had a feeling it would come around this soon, with all the stories of his deteriorating health.
Rest in Peace bro.

I need to watch Butch Cassidy and Cool Hand Luke soon in his honor.

He was a truly great person by all accounts. I have always admired his personality, humor, generosity, and talents.

Bummer R.I.P.

I hope they play "The Sting" sometime this weekend. One of my all time favorites.
