Holy @^#%&@*

The highest one we climbed (as a telecom worker) is about 350' and I felt on top of the world (that, and the "mama ... come take me home" feeling). It must have taken them hours to get there ! (it takes us between 20-30 minutes for that 350' tower, with tools and all. Note that we don't do that everyday, we rarely have to climb up).

At that point, the best way to save time on the way down would be to go base-jumping style and bring a chute !

Myeah, no idea where this is, but around here we always climb with our double buckle harness and are attached at all times at least with one (takes more time but you know, that's a time sacrifice I'm willing to make ...)

These guys were only attached when they were resting on the way up.

Yeah your right. You can see them a couple times put their harness on the open ladders (yeah ... that will save you !) but they only secure them once on top. I could never do that. I would start to shake and get all numb !

The only guys around here that I see could do that are the native mohawks. Those guys have absolutely no vertigo ... all of them !
They are the same ones (well okay ... their grandsons or something) who went to work in New York and the other major urban centers in the 20s-30s to build all those skyscrappers.
