especially when you are in teh woods and it is humid, and your boots are soaked and all of the clothes and all your possessions are wet, and there is no hope of things getting drier because the rain keeps bringing you PAIN.
I took a couple days off from my hike. Be back at it on sunday.

and just curious, but where do you go to "take a break" from a hike? Do they have hiker motels? |

Nothing quite like meditating at the top of a twelve-thousand foot peak after you've just finished a hike that involved you and a 70 degree grade mountain. |

Otherwise, suck it up, it's nature, and rain is nature. I keep my spare socks / wallet the same way. Is the "bugs suck" thread next?
