Random giving

So as I'm sure you may have noticed (if you've been around ot for a wile)
that every so often a thread pops up on the subject of giving to someone in need.

Well, today I think I may have had a revelation.

I was at a local music store picking up some gear and upon walking home,
at some point in my journey I dropped my credit card, Id and $29 dollars.
I looked everywhere and even called the store I was at, no luck.

Then I got a call from the police department,
someone found my stuff and brought it in.
when I went to pick it up it was all there!

So what's with the revelation?

The revelation is that according to my budget I should be able to give at least five dollars a week and still be in a really solid place financially.
So with that said I had an idea of where to put it and I have decided to start each week giving five bucks to a totally random person.
The way I'm accomplishing this is to give to the 10th person I pass when I go out.
It brings the thought to my mind of how awesome it would be if we all would/could do this.

So what'ch all think about all this random giving.

Samantha.

You have no idea how much hope you have just given me. Thank you. And I thank the person who returned your wallet with everything intact and no expectation of a reward.

Human beings acting......human.

As for the random giving, go for it.

Thank you.

I'm unsure of your motive. Is it just for fun, or are you looking to help someone in need?

Ah, this is a good question you've brought up,
I would say that my motive is to make the world a better place in general.
And maybe in a more specific sense by posting it here.

It's a cool thing to do!

Honestly though the way I look at it personally, is that it does not have to be structured, or it does not have to be a certain amount of $ per se, just give/do what you can, when you can and it works wonders.
"Do unto others" and all that stuff
