Zach de la rocha has a new band "One Day as a Lion". Just him on keyboards with a drummer. They have an album coming out July 22nd but so far the song they have on the MySpace page is pretty good.

It's good but it just sounds like a lo-fi version of Rage (no bad thing). I've also lost all respect I had for them over recent years.

But musically I love them, Tim C is one of my fave bassists, and One Day As a Lion sound great.

Cheers for the heads up

Well unless Zach does something dramatically different, anything he does is going to remind people of Rage.

And I'd like him to do something totally different tbh

I can't imagine anything I'm less likely to buy. I really dig Rage musically, but can't stand their politics, and look at Zack the source of most of that.

Nah, they're all pretty leftist.

LOL. OK. Either way, not a Zach fan, although I certainly appreciate the kick-assed-ness of the rhythm section.

I love Rage musically... And I agree with most of their politics.

Actually, I think Tom Morello was a strong reason for their highly leftist stance, wasn't he? Harvard grad with honors in Political Science, etc.

I honestly don't care about their views. Good music is good music, and if the lyrics are that pro-agenda, I'll just stop paying attention to the lyrics.

I try and ignore a person's views or beliefs when it comes to their work. If I didn't I'd never go see another movie with Will Smith because I think Scientology is ridiculous.

Actually the only person I let their personal life affect how I feel about the music is Amy Winehouse. For how she's destroying herself I just can't listen to her music which makes light of the whole situation in some songs.

I like it. Although I was hoping this thread was going to be about a new rage cd, that would be sick. I agree with most of their politics

meh... I'll probably buy it just because, but it really doesn't do a whole lot for me at the moment.

I think buying it would be against Zach's leftist ideals, so I'll probably download it. You know, to stick it to the man.

Since he's spoken about it before I know the one reason Cheezewizz is talking about, and I agree with him. It's pretty off.
