Ok, so I'm looking for a way to fill in my mornings besides exercise, because I have way too much free time until September. I've applied at places like Best Buy and Circuit City. I've also applied at UPS to be a package handler.
Does anyone know of a good, part time job that doesn't involve food and always seems to be hiring? I'm up to pretty much anything else, and I'm not looking for a huge paycheck. If I got minimum wage, I'd be fine with that.

They almost all have package lines that run 24-7 and they pay a nice chunk above min. Saved me many times back in college.
If you have any office skills at all, or if you aren't afraid to wield a shovel, temp agencies can be a total score for extra work.

I'd probably say not to do the call center thing, there is a reason they have such a high throughput rate of employees (they tend to suck ass big time)

Don't listen to him, dude! It's amongst the worst jobs on earth that does not involve shoveling poo.

Don't work at Target either.

Is that the job you're all talking about? It's saying you have to carry around 100 lb boxes and stuff. I don't know if I could do that every single day.

You're either putting them in or taking them out. Either way, it's a freaking workout like no other. I can't speak for DHL or UPS. But I can promise you taht if you go work for FedEx, they will get their money's worth out of you, and then some.

I'm honestly not sure that I can do that. I don't want to apply for the job and not be able to do it. When I read the UPS and DHL requirements though, I felt I could accomplish them. I'm a decently big guy who has a lot of energy. But 100 lbs is 100 lbs...

But 100 lbs is 100 lbs... | Anything that you can ship through those carriers is something that you would potentially have to lift. You don't actually lift any dock plates. The drivers back the trucks up to the docks and you get in the truck and either empty it or fill it.
