Recommend me some good research sites

Sign in to disble this ad
I am doing a Pro/Con research paper for school on "Music and its effect on listeners." And I need some good trusted sites that I can use for citations. They can be articles, essays, statistics etc. Anything that I can use from a legit source. I tried Google, but got a lot of jumbled results, and our school doesn't recognize Wikipedia as a source

I already have some book sources, but am in need of some internet ones.

Any help TB?

Are you in university, or high school? If in the former, must universities usually have online journals/scholarly resources hosted up through their library, etc. You can access those and should be able to find at least a few relevant things. If you're in high school, find someone in university and do what I just recommended.

+1. JSTOR and The Music Index are pretty good, but I think you have to have access through a university, in which case see above.

Whatever ones you have friends at.

Alternatively, go visit your school library. They might be able to get you access to some of that sort of stuff as well. I remember when I wasi n high school, we did a few library-based projects where we had to access academic journals and the like, and were given all of the proper procedures to do so with. So the library might already be set up to allow you to do that.
