Recommend a vintage guitar value guide please.

My Brother in law passed this week. My family will be liquidating his stuff in order to pay off expenses. Among his things is an insane guitar collection (40 + instruments.)

I can determine an asking price of the non vintage guitars but I want to get the most I can out of the vintage stuff.

With that many instruments, you may want to vist someone like Gruhn in Nashville, or any other reputable dealer in your area, and get an appraisal, which may cost, but would be well worth it (and maybe such can be written off against the estate closing?)

yeah, good point. depending on the instrument, a consignment deal at gruhns may be your best bet.
