Refilling grill gas tanks in NYC

Sign in to disble this ad
Can anyone with experience in New York City point me in the right direction of where I can get my gas grill's tank refilled? I am minus an automobile, so I'm relying on public transportation (and really hoping to not have to pay for a cab ).

Anyone? I live in Brooklyn (Bushwick) if that's any help

good luck getting one of those things on to public transportation....its explosive...

Yea, good point, the authorities may not like that. There is a gas station just down the street from my apartment, but I have the feeling they don't have a fill station. Maybe a Yellowbook will help me out...

Lowe's and Home Despot do refills, there's a Lowe's right off the Smith Ave or 4th Ave F train stop or the 4th Ave R stop (Smith & 9th is closest).

Yo! Brooklyn! East ender here. We have a swap system out here, brin g in the old one? and get a full new one. Check out a convenience store or gas station. Otherwise? I'm not certain of any urban uses of LP gas.

Are you allowed to have a gas grill in an apartment?

We have a walled-in area outside area behind our apartment, don't worry, it's all good there.

Thanks for the info, I'll try for the few gas stations around my apartment first, and if that fails, I'll take a cab to that Lowe's on Smith & 9th, something tells me it jsut isn't worth the effort to get a full tank on an MTA train
