Remington 1911

You should make a nice display case for that, hang it up and go get a Glock. . Nice gun, nothing shoots like a 1911.... especially a Glock.

Not a glock person. I own 5 colt 1911 variations. 3 10mm Delta Elites a government model 1911 and a Colt Defender

Glocks are so overrated and so unsafe.

I didn't know they made an exposed hammer, single action pistol. Awesome!

High dependability, durability and accuracy are way overrated.

I never said they were bad guns (other than being unsafe), but everyone I seem to know, and this could just be because of my age group or the people I run into, seems to think that Glocks are the be all, end all of pistols, which is simply not the case.

Secondly, they are ridiculously unsafe, and even if they did fit my hand and feel better, I still wouldn't own one for that very reason, I've heard too many horror stories and seen bullet wounds of guys who know what they're doing get the trigger caught up on a piece of clothing or a part of a holster and shoot themselves in the leg.

Very nice... it's a shame I live in NJ where things like that aren't as easy to come by.

One of these days though... I'd love to pick up a 1911.

It's a black finish but I don't know what.

Of course the Glock design isn't the be all and end all, as there are many great pistols out there.

Having had revolver experience, I don't mind the Glock.Shooting one's self is a training and attention issue, not a design flaw. I really have to part with this "ridiculously unsafe" talk.

That's your opinion and of course you're welcome to it, but I don't want to have to concern myself with my gun shooting me in the leg when I go to holster it, under any circumstances, in my mind, the complete lack of any safety (and no, I don't buy the double trigger as a safety feature) is most definitely a design flaw.

Most revolvers have design flaws? Just be careful man.

Most Glock NDs are just that negligent discharges. Someone wasn't watching what they were doing, trigger hangs up and BOOM. Glocks are just as safe as any other pistol. I still don't care for Gaston's pistol though. I went through that phase with a G22 and sold it after 6 months.

I have over 30 handguns but only 3 of them are semis and all 3 are 1911s

Back on topic. That is one gorgeous slabsider.
