Here is a paragraph from Bassplayer

Republican presidential contender, Mike Huckabee plays bass. Huckabee’s group, Capitol Offense, began performing at political functions during his two-terms as Arkansas governor and continues to gig with them during his quest to pick up the Republican party’s presidential nomination. He represents his homestate constituency on a Tobias Basic 4-string, made in Conway, Arkansas

I'm hoping that these Huck threads keep popping up until one of the mods has to combine them into one gigantinormous Huckabee megathread!

No really, that would be sweet.

Why was he playing a Fender on Letterman (or Leno, or whatever it was...)? I think he's flip-flopping his stand on Arkansas basses.

What a jerk.

I've seen him playing a Toby, Fender Jazz, Gibson EB-3 and a Peavey so far. He likes a variety of basses, but all 4 bangers. Any thoughts on what he'll play next?

I think he'll borrow "The Joust" from Jean Baudin.

I think Jean Baudin should run for president. If a man can handle 11 strings, he can definitely handle the country.

I was hoping to find a thread in the Bassists subject page on this topic, but it looks like all of those are closed.

I wanted to post this under Bassists because of what the writer of this article is saying about the rest of us.

http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/...mment-opinions

I kinda feel like choking the writer, even if what he says is true.

The mere mention of the person whose name rhymes with Buckatee is banned on TalkBass.
