lowsound | I feel that's too little! I weigh 170 and can do more than that. I never understood nor could do slow weight loss. |

Be sure to drink more water, it'll help suppress hunger. Capsaicin also suppresses hunger so a bottle of Sriracha will help you out. Eat lean meats (poultry, fish, etc), more veggies, and less grains. Half an hour of exercise (excluding warmup) at least 4 times a week. You know, the boring stuff everyone says they do, since it actually works
Best of luck! |

I started out doing 30 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes of weights 5 days a week but my knees where having none of that after a few months so I cut back to cardio and weights 3 days a week and just weights in between. Been losing pretty close to 10lbs a month and thats with a few 1-2 week breaks for holidays, visiting family and conventions and stuff.

It's a lifestyle/attitude thing. You can do it. And please come back and post pics of that bass in June.
Good luck! | This is what I'm doing in the last months, but taking it easy. Lost 17lbs in 3 months.

Good luck! | The only thing I take issue with here is the "late night eating" it's not necessarily about eating at x time of the day it's what you eat and how much of it you eat relative to you winding down for the night. If you go to bed at 10pm sharp, I can see chillin out on the food around 6pm. But for us folks who stay up to ungodly hours for whatever reason (I hit the sack anywhere from 12-5am) it would be significantly later. Later still if you maintain some level of activity during that time prior to sleep.

I was about to OMG +1 till I read it was relative to when you go to sleep then I got sad.
Answer is no it's not. Eating 1000 calories is no different in the morning or evening. Your body will burn the same calories regardless, either via fat or food. If it burns your fat all day it'll replenish when you eat, if it burns fat all night it'll replenish when you wake. |

I don't over think it, and I still have a killer sweet tooth. But the only things I drink all day are black coffee in the morning, and water the rest of the day. I don't have to force myself to drink only water now, I just enjoy it. I drink La Croix, a carbonated sparkling water that is zero calories and zero additives. It's really good!
I also stopped drinking beer. This came gradually after I started working out and running. I just didn't crave it any more. If I do drink now, I'll drink Jack Daniels on the rocks.
The biggest part for me losing weight has been maintaining a running schedule. I run at least 4 times a week, between 3 and 5 miles per day. This allows me to eat pretty much whatever I want without having to think about it too much.
I used to eat fast food all the time, but now I really don't want to. That's the best thing. Start taking care of your body and the other things will fall in to place. It will soon become a lifestyle rather than a diet where you have to force yourself to stay on track. |
