Right hand feels colder than left

Sign in to disble this ad
For a while I've been observing this,my right hand, starting a few cms behind the wrist is always colder than my left hand.

Usually left is warm as my body but right is cold.

Is there a logical/medical explanation to this?

I've been searching about this and found a few articles and reading them too.Has anyone else ever felt something like this?

Could just be a mild abnormality causing you to have poorer circulation in one hand.

However, TBOT isn't a medical forum, if you are concerned, you should probably see your Doctor.

(or start using your left hand more often . . . )

I have that all of the time as well. If I put my hands to my face right now, one is noticeably cooler than the other.
I always thought that it was just a circulation thing - one arm has better circulation that the other.

It's never had any negative effect on me I....I....ughhhh...uuuugh.>....>..>.knl.m./>/.>.....

Eating enough? The body takes the heat out of your extremities (hands/Feet) to warm your internal core, have that larger pizza : )

I heard once that women's internal core was a few degrees lower than fellas, so they take more heat from their hands and feet, that's why during winter, when you both get into bed for the night , they love sticking their hands and feet on you to nick your warmth. I don't know if this was fact, or just an excuse, you never can tell.

It could be a circulatory by the sounds of it maybe?

Lately, i've also noticed my right hand is colder than my left.
After spending a little time thinking about it, I realised it's because I spend a lot of time using my laptop, and the right hand is holding the mouse, while the left hand is over the keyboard, wich is warmed by the laptop itself, leaving the righ hand vulnerable to the colder room temperature.
Sometimes there are simple explanations to what may seem a "medical condition". Before worrying yourself too much, see if you can find such an explanation.
If you can't, then by all means consult a physician. Even if it's nothing serious, you'll at least have peace of mind about it .
IMO etc..

Did they? I thought they were only in a movie about the aforementioned subject. Playing a Ramones song.

OH MY GAWD I JUST NOTICED MY RIGHT HAND IS COLDER TOO!!!!!

I likened it to the fact that my right hand is always on my mouse while at work, and my left is curled up in my lap just sitting there, being all snuggley.

Sort of like the "strange red skin" on a drummer's thighs, after he's listened to a lot of music.

My left foot is almost always ice cold, while my right is usually toasty.

I swear you could use my left shoe to chill drinks if I was just wearing it.

I looked for a simple explanation like yours too but I use a separete keyboard so that's not the issue.

I play bass a few times during a day so I'd expext the right (plucking) hand to be warmer than fretting hand but don't think plucking is helping warming up.

Probably it's nothing to worry about but my stories with "mehh it's nothing to worry about" have the habit of not ending well.

Case and point why you shouldn't sit around with your thumb up your butt.
