Raising £100m for charity is a pretty impressive legacy. If you're my age then he is one of those people you associate with your childhood.

When I was a kid he was doing You've Been Framed. I did watch Beadles About on Sky, and it was awesome.

He might have gotten some gyp, especially for his hand and cheesy shows, but he did a lot of good work, as you say.
