3 days ago was the 31st Anniversary of Mr. Lennon's death. I guess this thread is about remembering musicians, bassists or any musician who has influenced your life in a little way or a big way.
About a year ago, I didn't really have a hobby. I wouldn't even be able to tell you who John Lennon was, then I began getting into to music, particularly the Beatles. I got my first bass guitar on Christmas a year ago, and thanks to him and the fabulous four, I'm in love with music in general! Of course, the Beatles were just a stage, I now more often listen to more complex pieces of music, like Zeppelin, etc. but I don't know if I would be enjoying myself as much as I am without that brilliant man. RIP, we miss all miss you! (;

In 2 days, it's gonna be 10 years since Chuck Schuldiner died.

He's one of the biggest influence in the history of metal.

Yep. Also, Dimebag Darrell Abbott was killed on the same day (December 8th) as John Lennon.
