Bummer. I studied with George when I was in grad school at NEC, and while we butted heads a lot I certainly respect his contribution to jazz repertoire and pedagogy.
He gave me one of the most memorable compliments (sic) I've ever received: "You're the perfect example of someone who does too much left-brain thinking!"
